Arrived in Madrid around 10:00 am. Terminal 4 is FAR, FAR away from Terminals 1, 2 and 3. Good thing they had:
- buses to transport us for free
- nice Spanish men who let us know when it was the right
time to get off (Not to worry Kelly. I’m not bringing him home). Experienced the same thing in Italy. 3 gates
and 90 minutes later we were airborne. It’s a good thing that I kept my eye on
the monitor. Andrea wasn’t up to the task. Our rush to get to a changed gate me of my return from Italy when my cousin Cherry & I RAN to a new gate at Chicago O’Hara.
AeroBus
Caught the vibrant blue AeroBus from BCN to the Plaza Cataluna. Rode with some awesome young ladies on an abroad study. Yep, we heard southern drawls. YAY! They were from Alabama.

World Cup with Food Became a Common Theme
After finding Hotel Ginebra, we HAD to take a nap. Neither of us was seeing too straight. We ate some club sandwiches for dinner at a little place just a few doors down from our hotel. The twenties something crowd had gathered to watch Uruguay take on France in the World Cup. Just so you’ll know, we’re routing for ESPANA!

El Paseo
It seemed the whole town was out for their evening stroll up and down Las Ramblas. I love this time of day. We saw a SCARY mime. Andrea did not get within arms distance. She learned from Susan's experience in Rome :) It’s still light outside at 9:52 pm. We’re at the big internet cafe near La Bouqueria market. 1 euro = 30 minutes.
